Okinawa is an island in Japan where glass beads have been made by hand since the 8th century. Each beads is originally shaped one by one around a rod that is heated to over 1000°c flames, to which craftsmen add silver foil, bringing to life this firefly effect. Finally, phosphorescent particles are added by hand to these creations, giving them the exceptional quality of glowing in the dark.

The light rendition period is a phenomenon that usually lasts for a few minutes. The intensity and duration of the phosphorescent effect depends on the intensity and duration of prior light exposure, whether artificial or daylight. This phenomenon is unlimited through time and may be repeated indefinitely.

The GLOW Necklaces are composed of freshwater pearls, 925 sterling silver and Hotaru phosphorescent beads.

Our necklaces are available in sizes 40, 45 and 50. This number corresponds to the length of the necklace, in centimeters, from one end to another (clasps included).

All our products are also available in your Custom size upon request via the dedicated tab in our main menu.

STYLING ADVICE

Choose the appropriate size according to the width of your neck and the style you are willing to achieve:

• Size 40 is usually appropriate for women to achieve a choker look
• Size 45 is a standard unisex size
• Size 50 is more appropriate for wider necks or to be worn looser
• Custom sizes can go up until 56 cm

Additionally, do not hesitate to measure an existing necklace of yours and select your size accordingly, while keeping in mind that pearls will add volume compared to a regular chain, in which case we would recommend you to size up.

Kindly note that the natural character of our pearls and stones implies that their diameter may vary. Your piece of jewelry may naturally be up to 1 centimeter shorter or longer than indicated.

All orders are made by hand, packed and shipped from our Ateliers in France within 24 business hours. If you order by 1PM on a business day, your order will be shipped the same day.
