HOW TO WEAR A PEARL NECKLACE
At DAÏQUIRI, the pearl necklace is not a ceremonial piece. It is worn every day, by everyone, with what is already in your wardrobe. White T-shirt, oversized blazer, leather jacket, hoodie or bare neck after midnight: our cultured pearl necklaces don’t complete an outfit, they make it.
WHY THE PEARL NECKLACE IS BACK

For centuries, the pearl necklace belonged to grandmothers and official portraits. Today it is one of the strongest pieces in the unisex wardrobe.
A freshwater cultured pearl necklace can do it all: clean, punk, romantic, minimal or streetwear, depending on what you wear around it. The pearl is a gem apart. It grows in a mussel, it takes years to form, and no two are alike. That is what gives it its value, and why a DAÏQUIRI necklace never goes out of style.
BY DAY
A pearl necklace works best when it doesn’t look overthought. The goal is not to dress up for the pearls. The goal is to let the pearls disturb the outfit a little.
With a white T-shirt. The simplest way to wear a pearl necklace, and the most effective. A plain tee, a short necklace, and casual turns stylish.

With a summer shirt. A white or striped shirt, a little loose, open over a choker or a short necklace. Sun-kissed skin, cotton, wet hair, pearls: nothing to add.

With a sweatshirt or a turtleneck. This is where pearls get interesting. Worn over a sweatshirt, they break the idea that pearls have to be formal. Our sterling silver ornaments give them the raw edge that suits skate and surf looks.

BY NIGHT
In the evening: same energy, different setting. Black leather, bare skin, oversized blazer, silver belt: the pearl necklace is worn like a chain, not like evening jewellery.

And when the lights go down, our phosphorescent Hotaru beads take over. They charge in daylight and glow in the dark, on the dance floor and in the street.

DOUBLE DOWN
Mix pearls and silver. The surest way to modernise a pearl necklace is to wear it with silver: chains, rings, earrings, piercings. Cold metal cuts through the glow of the pearl. The DAHLIA collection is made for exactly that.
Layer up. Two or three lengths around the neck make the look livelier, more modern, more impertinent. It is also the moment to play with colour: fine stones, multicoloured pearls, a matching pearl bracelet on the wrist.

FOR MEN
There are no rules. Alone over an open shirt or a white T-shirt, that’s the DAÏQUIRI TIMELESS Necklace. Stacked with a fine chain, or with the matching bracelet, that’s mix & match. At night, make way for the GLOW Midnight. All our pieces are unisex; if you are looking for a place to start, here is our selection of pearl necklaces for men.
THE RIGHT LENGTH
Length changes everything. A choker or a short necklace feels more graphic and stronger. A medium length is easy to wear every day without a second thought. A longer length can be layered or worn loose.
Depending on the model, our necklaces come in a fixed length (40, 45 or 50 cm) or with an extension chain (40 + 5 cm or 45 + 5 cm) so you can adjust the fit. Each product page says which, and our size guide helps you choose.
DETAILS MATTER
Sterling silver, spikes, charms, clasps, irregular pearls, mixed textures: these are the details that turn a pearl necklace into a signature piece. Every DAÏQUIRI necklace is designed and assembled by hand in Paris, with freshwater cultured pearls chosen for their lustre and character. We like pearls that feel alive, not perfect.
